Wisdom for the Journey

From The Holy Bible:

“The Parable of the Talents”

Matthew 25:14-30

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

2 Timothy 2:15

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.

 Ecclesiastes 9:10

From ‘You’ve Got to Be Hungry’, by Les Brown

“What’s Your Dream?”

“Each one of us has a special calling on our lives … a work that we are each assigned to do!!!”

  • What do you think about all the time?
  • What do you talk about all the time?
  • If you could live your life over again, what would you do?
  • What would you accomplish?
  • What would your life look like?

Introductory Remarks:

“I believe that each one of us has a special calling on our hearts, a work that we are assigned to do.”  Pg. 52

Major Points of the Lesson:

  1. “For us to fulfill what we are assigned to do, we must first be open to the truth that it is possible. As long as your heart is open to Possibilities, you will find that whatever you are seeking is also seeking you.” Pg. 52
  2. “Follow your heart to GREATNESS!” Pg. 61 “Miracles occur in my life and in the lives of so many others who once doubted themselves and their potential. Miracles happen when we choose to follow our hearts to greatness.” Pg. 63
  3. With ‘Unshakeable Faith’ – nothing is out of reach if we want to create something in life. Whatever our goals are – believe in your ability to do it! Pgs. 71-73
  4. “Be Unstoppable” feed your dream before you feed your body! What are you willing to give up? To sacrifice? – Greatness comes with a heavy price tag!” Pgs. 85-88
  5. “You either Expand or you are Expendable” – “No matter what your passion or dream is, you will have to learn to master it.” Success is to grow continuously. Pgs. 128 -130
  6. “Study to show yourself approved” 2 Timothy 2:15 – this is the Mantra of UFBL’s Theological Seminary. Les Brown’s book instructs us to – Invest in our personal development – it is much more expensive to be ignorant – the road to personal development never ends. Pgs.141-144
  7. Yes Lord! Hunger is calling – we must answer with a humble and faith-filled YES!  Pg. 171

ASSIGNMENT:
