Step 5: Share & Receive More than Expected

Luke 6:38 (ERV)

“Give to others, and you will receive. You will be given much. It will be poured into your hands—more than you can hold. You will be given so much that it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you.”

Introductory Remarks: 

Your sharing and receiving invokes the Law of Action and Reaction. This law is a reminder that Circulation and not stagnation is the Secret of Prosperity. It says that “there is an equal and opposite reaction – an inflow and an outflow, a giving and a receiving” cycle of life. In essence, “we must act (give) that our good may react (be given) to us again.” The Unity Guide to Prosperous Living (TUGTPL), pg. 69. 

Major Points of the Lesson:

  1. “Most of us are like funnels – with a large, wide capacity for receiving from the Source and a very small, constricted channel for giving.” TUGTPL, pg. 69.
  1. When you give, or act do so:
  1. Willingly or freely give
  2. In a just and proportionate way
  3. Cheerfully
  4. With an understanding that God is the Source.

3.   When your good reacts or gives back to you:

  1. Receive or accept it; or refuse it and interfere with the inflow and outflow cycle; 
  2. Act, again, by giving; stay in the flow of circulation and not stagnation. 
  3. Give thanks for the channel but remember God is the Source.
