Flip The Script from Surviving to Thriving

Scripture Reading

“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord
And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.
“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters,
That spreads out its roots by the river;
And will not fear the heat when it comes;
But its leaves will be green and moist.
And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought
Nor stop bearing fruit.

Jeremiah 17: 7-8 (AMP)

Definitions

Definition of Survive: “continue to live or exist, especially in spite of danger or hardship.”
Definition of Thrive: “grow or develop well or vigorously; prosper; flourish.”

Introductory Remarks:

There is nothing ‘spiritual’ or ‘humble’ about merely surviving in life. If we truly love Jesus and are following his example then we must be willing to flip the script from survival modes and attitudes to new modes of thriving and live life more abundantly! Scriptural reference in John 10:10 (GNT) gives us the premise when it says, “I have come in order that you might have life  – life in all its fullness”.

Major Points of the Lesson:

  1. Give yourself permission to thrive. You can thrive regardless of your conditions or world conditions.
  2. Review your relationship to Good – money, health, happiness, peace of mind
  3. God is Substance. There is no sustained thriving without a rooted/grounded understanding of Substance. Substance is unformed mind essence. It is humankind’s supply and from it we form whatever we wish through our faith and understanding.
  4. Thriving is a way of thought and action.
  5. Be willing to handle ALL that comes with thriving.

Daily Affirmation:

“I now have a life of ease and lightness. Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better. I am working smarter, not harder. I am now creating the life of my dreams, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all.’

ASSIGNMENT:

Review your life in every area and identify where you are thinking, feeling and acting from a survival/hustler’s mindset and begin to give yourself permission to thrive using the 5 points from the lesson.
