Scripture Reading
John 14:12 (MSG)
“Believe me: I am in my Father and my Father is in me. If you can’t believe that, believe what you see—these works. The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing.”
Introductory Remarks
The power in the name of Jesus is not a supernatural association with J-E-S-U-S. Many people had and have that name. Jesus of Nazareth was able to manifest wonder-working power because his nature (name) was one of Prayer, Gratitude, and Perseverance in Spiritual Principles. This is the recipe Jesus of Nazareth used to become Jesus the Christ.
Like Jesus, we too can connect with and unlock more God-Power in our life, world, and affairs. How is it done? Maintain a persistent practice of prayer. Be grateful despite adversity. Consistently think from the Spirit, feel from the Spirit, speak from the Spirit, and act and respond from the Spirit.
Major Points of the Lesson:
Jesus’ prayers acknowledged God as the accessible source of all things. (Matthew 6:9-13)
Jesus judged with spiritual eyes. This is why he was grateful in all things. In doing so, he had multiplier-effect manifestations. (Matthew 14:19).
Jesus persevered in Truth with his whole self, and powerful demonstrations manifested everywhere he went. (Mark 4:37-39 & 1 Peter 2:23)
Quote:
“By their fruits, you will know them…” Matthew 7:16
