Built to Decide & Be Free

Scripture Reading

Psalm 37:4 (ESV)
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Introductory Remarks

We gather today not just in celebration of a nation’s independence, but in remembrance of the divine gift seeded in all of us — the power to decide, the freedom to choose, the authority to create.

Our ancestors, from Deacon Samuel Sharpe to Marcus Garvey to our national leaders in 1962, understood that true freedom begins within.

Rev. Johnnie Colemon reminds us:

“You can have anything you want, be anything you want, and do anything you want — if you desire it badly enough.”

Today we declare:
We were Built to Decide and Be Free — not just politically, but spiritually, mentally, and creatively.

Major Points of the Lesson

1. Conceive — Imagine the Life and Nation You Want

“I am the thinker who thinks the thoughts that make the things.” — J. Colemon

Scripture:
Psalm 37:4 (ESV) – “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

2. Believe — Have Faith in the Vision, Even Before It’s Visible

“All that God has is mine.” — J. Colemon

Scripture:
Mark 11:24 (MSG) – “Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; it’s yours!”

3. Decide — Freedom is Activated by Choice

“Your dreams can only come true when you make a definite decision.” — J. Colemon

Scripture:
James 1:8 (KJV) – “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

4. Receive — Freedom is a Practice, Not Just a Celebration

“The work begins inside.” — J. Colemon

Scripture:
Matthew 7:7 (KJV) – “Ask, and it will be given; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened.”

Quote

“Everything, and I do mean everything, has already been created by Elohim God. But there is still creative process going on. That creative process awaits your decision. After you make your decision, idea follows idea, one right after the other, because your decision has set them in motion. Everything creative responds within your mind when you give it direction by making a definite decision.”
