Scripture Readings
Donโt be weary in prayer; keep at it; watch for Godโs answers, and remember to be thankful when they come.โ
Colossians 4:2 [TLB]
You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.
Job 22:28 [NRSV]
Introductory Remarks:
When preparing for anything, begin with prayer. Turn within to your soul, in a prayerful attitude, to receive the answers you seek. โEverything, in order for your dream, [hope or desires] to come true and be a permanent thing, is going to have to come from the inside to the outside, not from the outside to the inside.โ Dr. Johnnie Colemon.
After you pray you, alone, must decide to follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit if you are to receive what God wants you to have or experience.
Major Points of the Lesson:
- โPrayer is your inner awareness that the Holy Spirit of Truth, of which Jesus spoke, is not only with you but within you, ready to teach you all things. โโฆthe Spirit of truthโฆwill guide you into all the truth;โฆandโฆwill declare to you the things that are to come.โ John 16:13โ Mary Kupferle
- Dedicate a time to pray.
- Pray first, not last.
- Pray, trusting that your answer is revealed.
- Itโs never too late to pray.
- When you decide to follow as the Holy Spirit leads, you impress the subconscious mind and it goes to work for you.
- Do your decisions agree with the dream or goal? Are you sending mixed messages?
- Have you decided to stand firm on what God wants for you?
Quote:
โAs long as you [do] not make up your mind, you are helpless. You are unable to move in any direction with a feeling of safety and sincerity. If you want to move and [be prepared for that dream or goal] youโve got to DECIDE.โ
