The Bigger Your God, The Bolder Your Stance

Scripture: ‘Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.’  I Corinthians 16:13 (NRSVUE)

Affirm: I believe in a God that is bigger than anything I could ever want, face, or  encounter.

Dear Prosperity Partners and Friends,

We give thanks to God for each of you. We bless you and we are praying with you.

My week began with someone reaching out to say this about Sunday’s Sermon: ‘The  sermon rocked my world. I must pick up my bed and walk.’ Another person said that  their spouse turned to them and said, ‘Honey, pick up your bed and walk.’ It is amazing  how many beds we are resting on. Some of our beds are unknown to us. Yet, we must  walk away from them. In fact, we need to tear them down so that others don’t find a  level of comfort in resting on them.

Sunday’s Sermon, ‘The Bigger Your God, the Firmer Your Stance’, provided us with  these major points.

  1. To experience the impact of God as the Source of All Supply, there  must be an intention set to do so. What is your intention as it relates  to the BIGNESS OF GOD?

Once you believe that your Big God ‘Supplies’, what is your strategy to remember God,  alone, as your source and sufficiency? As you know, it can be easy to rely on external  channels, such as other persons, a monthly cheque, or a job as your source. When we  do so, we create a bed of insufficiency and then we get into that bed and rest awhile.  That is, until our dependence on external channels of supply disappoints us. We all  know that persons may or may not come through on their promise; the cheque may be  delayed in the mail, or it may not get to you at all; and every job comes to an end. Amid  all these things, there is God who is forever supplying. It is up to us to turn to God as  the Source of all.

As an act of faith, reflect on those times when God has shown up in a BIG way for you.  Then ask yourself: ‘Do I believe that God can do it, again and again and again? Can God  do it in BIGGER and BETTER ways? If so, then spend time in God’s presence catching  the vision of supply that God has for you. Yes, YOU!

Arise and expect your breakthrough. Affirm your overcoming. Remember it only takes  faith the size of a mustard seed for mountainous conditions in your life to move. You’d  be surprised how many people in this game of life, expect to lose; expect defeat; expect  that things will get harder, rather than better. Don’t be one of them.

  1. Like Jesus, be bold in recognizing God, alone, as the Source of  Infinite Supply. God is the source of ALL:

Everyone meets up against situations of lack that appear overwhelming, or  unconquerable. Yet, we are reminded:

  • Psalm 27:1 – The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Therefore, all  things belong to God.
  • Luke 15:31 – Son, Daughter, all that I have is thine. Therefore, all that God  is/has is already ours.
  • Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God. God’s presence is present at the beginning and at the end. This includes all points in between.
  • Philippians 4:19 – God, alone, supplies all your needs, according to his riches in Power – glory dominion, authority. God’s job is to supply. Your job is to give and receive.

Quote: ‘To recognize any other Source is to intentionally bow down and worship a false  god. You consent to be its slave and it, your master.’ Sheila McKeithen

Let’s pray: God of All Creation, I look to You as the unfailing Source of All Supply. Like  a bucket sitting under an open faucet or pipe, I am receiving all that is for my highest

good and in accordance with Your plan for my life. Your blessings abound and I accept  them all. Amen.
