Your Purpose Profits You & Yours

Introductory Remarks:

Your purpose is not a career but a divine calling that requires personal willingness. Your willingness to participate in your God-given purpose gives you access to your inheritance of kingdom resources – the substance, life, power, wisdom, and love of God – in all their forms. Consider Bible greats like Isaiah, Moses, Esther, and Jesus or Earth legends like Gandhi, Garvey, Mandela, Johnnie Colemon, Sheila McKeithen, and others. God equipped and empowered their mission and their purpose benefited them and the world. Similarly, your purpose is always meant to serve the greater good. It profits not just you, but those around you. Saying ‘yes’ to your purpose is saying yes to doing your part in God’s big puzzle. Obedience to your calling ensures that those around you also experience the blessings, growth, and benefits of your purpose.

Major Points of the Lesson:

  1. Your Purpose comes packaged with provisions.
  2. Your purpose profits you and yours.
  3. Your ‘Yes’ to your purpose unlocks the favour that is ALREADY on your life, but your yes requires
    1. Compliance (Day 1, ‘Live Happy’)
    2. Commitment (Day 262, ‘Live Happy’)
    3. Consistency (Day 220, ‘Live Happy’)

Quote:

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, but you gotta make sure you’re on the same page with God. If you’re on the Lord’s page [and] moving because of what God has placed in your heart, it’s the right thing to do.” Rev. Dr. Sheila R. McKeithen

ASSIGNMENT:

We have all benefited from someone else saying ‘Yes’ to their purpose and calling. This week, find three persons whose purpose and vocation has blessed your life. Write and send them an encouraging gratitude note, letting them know of their impact and that you are proud of them (Day 134, “Live Happy”). As they inspire you anew, begin to draft your vocational goals for 2025.
