My Thoughts Are Intentional (2)

Scripture Reading

Romans 12:2 (ERV)
“Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to… [God] and what is perfect.”

Introductory Remarks:

Today’s scripture reminds us of our power to change the way we think.

We can intentionally choose to change our mental pattern to conform, not with the world, but with what God wants for us. God wants that which is good, pleasing, and a perfect fit for our lives. God has no problems with anyone attaining the good that is designed uniquely for them. See Luke 12:2

Major Points of the Lesson:

  1. People who live healthy, happy, prosperous, and successful lives think differently than unsuccessful people. In other words, the thoughts you choose to think, intentionally or unintentionally, determine your life outcomes.
  2. How intentional are you about what you think or entertain in the laboratory of your mind? Are your thoughts poisoning you or prospering you? Are they really thoughts or adversary thoughts? Supportive thoughts or limiting thoughts?
  3. Take back your mind. With intention, think the thoughts that align with your spiritual identity and your infinite possibilities.

ASSIGNMENT:

Think about an area of your life that you’d like to see improve. Re-brand that part of your life with new thoughts about it. Speak new words over it. Feel differently concerning it. Act and React as you prefer it to be and not as it is. See what happens.

Quote:

“You are today where your thoughts have brought you. You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.”
