Jesus’ Faith Connected Him With God

Scripture Reading

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen…By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.”

Hebrews 11:1,3 (NRSVUE)

Introductory Remarks: Faith is the perceiving power of the mind linked with the ability to shape substance, says Charles Fillmore. Our God-given abilities of faith and imagination form the thought structures we inhabit. To understand this is to have ‘Understanding Faith’. When we don’t understand, we have ‘Blind Faith.’

“In matters of government, faith will accomplish what legislation will not.” Sheila McKeithen

Major Points of the Lesson:

Jesus taught us:

  • Have faith in God. Mark 11:22

Develop an unwavering faith in God in YOU!

  • Praying in Faith will demonstrate what your doubt can’t. Mark 11:23

Clothe your prayers in faith. You won’t regret doing so.

  • Faith of any size will work for you if you work it. Matthew 17:20

Today, start your faith journey. Faith will work in any direction that you focus it. The more you put faith to work, the greater it will work for you.

Quote:

“It was not Jesus but the [M]ind in Jesus that did the great works…Tap [the] inner reservoir of faith, and you can do what Jesus did. That was His promise; its fulfillment is the test of a true follower.”

Charles Fillmore’s, The Twelve Powers of Man.
