Do Good Anyway

Scripture Reading

‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.’ Ephesians 2:10 (GW)

Introductory Remarks:

God created every soul to ‘do good’, even in moments that are challenging. Challenges don’t stop God, neither should they stop you.’ Decide that you were ‘born’ to do Good, then do it. In this way, you fulfill your purpose and your soul’s assignment.

“Our spiritual make-up is ‘WIRED FOR GOOD!’ Yet, due mostly to fear, we operate otherwise.” Sheila McKeithen

Major Points of the Lesson:

  1. When pursuing a dream or your higher purpose, it is wise to continue to do the ‘good’ that is before you, despite what may be happening to you or around you.
  2. When the temptation arises within you to follow the path of ‘less than good’, it won’t remind you that you were created ‘to do good.’ Instead, it will tell you all the reasons why ‘doing good’ offers no pay off. Don’t listen. Do Good because that’s who you are and ‘doing good’ is your soul’s assignment.

Quotes to Ponder:

‘Doing good is a choice you make’ rather than an automatic response to the issues of life.’

Sheila McKeithen
