Rise And ROCK!
Scripture: ‘Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.’ James 1:12 (MSG)
Affirm: When I rise out of challenging situations I get up and I stay up because I know who I am.
Dear Prosperity Partners and Friends,
You ROCK! Yes, you are God’s Rock Star! Every time you rise above fear, disappointment, guilt, anxiety, depression, hurt feelings, doubt and into love, self approval, freedom, confidence, faith, and joy, You ROCK! Having indicated his interest in entering the path of ministry, Conroy B. Wilson, rose to the occasion and delivered the sermon on May 15, 2022, titled: Rise & R.O.C.K.
Here’s a re-cap of the Major Points shared:
We are equipped with strength and courage to RISE (get up) out of any situation or circumstance and stay up using the acronym R.O.C.K.
- Release all that no longer serves us or help us to be our best selves. Living takes all you’ve got. Release what holds you down or back so that you can live true to God’s plan for you.
- Own your thoughts, feelings, words, actions, and reactions taking 100% responsibility for your life.
Too many times we ‘hand over’ our lives to another and then complain. ‘Take Back’ your life and accept responsibility for your happiness.
- Commit to a new way of being that is in alignment with the highest version of yourself.
Nothing happens until you make a deep and sincere commitment. Be committed to living the life God has designed for you.
- Know the Truth about who you are as a child of God destined to live an abundant life.
Jesus reminds us to know the Truth. Jesus is saying that we must know the Truth all the time. There are no exceptions. If we continually know the Truth, it will set us free. See John 8:32
All of life is ‘for’ you and never ‘against’ you. There is something in you that seeks to emerge from you and become commonplace in the world. When you ROCK for God, you are strengthened to withstand the howling winds and the hurricanes of life. Go ahead and R.O.C.K. for God. You’ll be glad that you did.
Ponder this: “Life can give you strength. Strength can come from facing the storms of life, from knowing loss, feeling sadness and heartache, from falling into the depts of grief. You must stand up in the storm. You must face the wind and the cold and the darkness. When the storm blows hard you must stand firm, for it is not trying to knock you down, it is really trying to teach you to be strong.” Joseph M. Marshall III
Let’s pray: God, show me how to Rock for You; To be a blessing for YOU; To shine for YOU; To be successful for YOU; To have plenty to spare and to share, for YOU; and To shine my light for YOU! I am listening, Lord, teach me. Amen.
