Level Up Your Money-Mindset!!
‘…[B]ecome soberly aware that the cycle you are in financially, happened because you had a subconscious commitment to it.’
Abundance Now, pg. 185
“If you grew up believing that somehow money is a struggle or that prosperity is outside your reach—know that you have the power within you to change this scarcity mindset into one of abundance.”
Lisa Nichols & Janet Switzer, Abundance NOW, pg. 209-210
Matthew 25:20-21 (New Century Version)
“… ‘Master, you trusted me to care for five bags of gold, so I used your five bags to earn five more.’ The master answered, ‘You did well. You are a good and loyal servant. Because you were loyal with small things, I will let you care for much greater things. Come and share my joy with me.’”
Dear Prosperity Partners and Friends,
WOW! What about this week of Financial Unfoldment? Did Lisa lay it all on the line in Chapter 5 or what? Did the biblical passage cause you to want to ‘Level Up Financially’ so that you can be trusted with more of God’s bounty? What about the quote above from page 186 that reminds us that on some level, even if it was unconscious, we committed to being the type of steward we are with the resources God has entrusted to us? Oh my! All of us want to be trusted with more and now we know what is required for that to happen. Between the biblical learnings and the financial tools offered in the text, Abundance Now, we are equipped to BEGIN once more.
May I ask: What did you commit to during this year’s Adventure in Faith journey? Did you follow through on your commitment? What were your results? Please share your results with us. One of the reasons that we are in a community with each other is so that we can learn from one another. How did you pivot an unexpected change? What decisions have you made because of your desire to Level Up? Did you act on your decision? What results are you getting? Where will you be on December 31st, in relation to your decision? Remember to set measurable goals that are achievable, so that you can celebrate your every success. Don’t be shy about sharing your success. We want to celebrate with you. Be mindful that seeming ‘failure’ contains its own seed that can be a tremendous blessing to you. So, celebrate every time you learn something new, even if your learning comes through what appears as ‘failure.’
Let’s re-cap Sunday’s Lesson: Level Up Your Money Mindset!
- God’s Divine Plan for you comes “bundled with the resources required to deliver” on it. Abundance Now, pg. 204.
Everyone likes a ‘bundled’ deal. We are offered an opportunity to ‘bundle’ car insurance with homeowner’s insurance; or to bundle cable, telephone, and internet services. Right? How many of us think of God’s resources as ‘bundled’ to ensure our success? Your desires for good are bundled with all the necessary. Don’t be fooled by mind-tricks that suggest that ‘there isn’t enough to go around;’ or ‘God is displeased with those who prosper;’ or ‘scarcity and poverty are all I know.’
Your good has been ‘bundled’ by God and no person can ‘unbundle’ it. You can, however, reject the ‘bundled package’ and live a life separated from the good that God has given to you. The choice is always yours. Examine your beliefs as Chapter 5 of Abundance Now suggests. Change every attitude or belief that separates you from the bundle of good that is your inheritance. - Have an honest ‘money conversation’ with YOU!
Our every unconscious and conscious commitment has delivered us the life we are living. Think about that! What about ‘us’ must change so that our lives CAN change? Mahatma Gandhi was right when he said, ‘Be the change that you want to see.’ How do you see yourself? Your lifestyle? Do your research and determine what your desired lifestyle will cost you? Are you willing to pay the cost? Where will you need to ‘Level Up’ as you prepare to live your preferred lifestyle? What do you need to learn to build the financial infrastructure that promotes the multiplication of your finances as opposed to diminishing returns on your finances? Honestly answering these questions and the questions posed in Chapter 5 will give you a jumpstart to experiencing more financial abundance. It all begins with your choice to have a conversation with YOU!
Let’s Pray:
Dear God, You have bundled infinite resources for my use and enjoyment. I desire to be a wise steward who has the financial mindset to not only multiply the resources entrusted to me but, also to share these resources in ways that are a blessing to others. I am open and receptive to all the knowledge that expands my financial territory, beginning NOW. With a grateful heart, I say ‘Thanks.’ Amen.
My prayer is that your individual process of Leveling Up your Prosperous Mindset will demolish the mindset of scarcity and make you forever a lender and not a borrower.
Continue to work with yourself. Continue to become all that God designed you to be.
Empowered to Get It Done,
Rev. Sheila
