The Call: Come To Calvary
Introductory Remarks
On Good Friday, we do not come merely to mourn the crucifixion. We come to Calvary to witness what happens when divine love remains steadfast in the face of fear, betrayal, pain, injustice, and death. We come to behold the triumph of Christ-consciousness under pressure.
Metaphysically, Calvary is the hill of surrender. It is the place in us where the human will gives way to the Divine Will, where old thinking dies, and where spiritual truth is established. Just as the creation story in Genesis unfolds in seven movements from formlessness to completion, the seven last words of Jesus may be seen as seven inner acts that support the Soul.
So the call today is clear: Come to Calvary. Come to the place where forgiveness replaces resentment, promise overcomes despair, love creates new relationships, surrender restores trust, truth exposes illusion, completion seals the work, and Spirit is expressed through the whole of life.
